Hey, read my post about the whole thing in the match thread!
If she had deliberately cheated, she would have lied as well. Instead she was totally ingenuous about it. Naturally, the American media are gonna milk it for all it's worth and more until the day she dies. They did the same with Justine. They just love those heavy handed smearing campaigns. How is that not some form of intox to knock down the opposition's credibility? Not super clean tactics either if you ask me.

I sure hope Li Na wins it, what is not to like when you watch Li Na play lately. A complete game and a great personality. She has made quite a few improvements to her game under Henin's old coach and it has made a real difference so far.

Go Li Na and beat that insufferable Azarenka!

Li in three.

I am with you. Hard to like her for sure.

Good for her. Hopefully Li Na destroys her.

Hope for a Li Na win obviously but going with the obvious.

I understand what you are saying, but it doesn't make what Vika did right. ESPN are certainly far from upstanding, and they are hypocritical, but Vika shouldn't have given them the ammunition in the first place.

I just take issue with people saying she doesn't deserve to be in the final. She does as much as anybody. If she hadn't taken the MTO, it would have just delayed tjhe inevitable.

You lost me here. I understand liking Li Na far more, I do so myself, because Li Na has the best personality on the WTA tour. But you might be blinded by your dislike of Azarenka if you say Li Na has a better game. To me, they're both much the same, both typical WTA ballbashers.

Hope Na pummels Azarenka to the ground come Saturday. That bit of 'gamesmanship' against Stephens was an absolute disgrace and if there's such a thing as karma, I hope it'll come back and bite Azarenka on the _ss.

Of course. Deep down, the bashers know it too. Sloane is not ready yet for the big stage. And I doubt she would have beaten Serena if Serena had been 100% and served as she usually does.

I think Shriekarenka has the edge, though Li Na can certainly win if she stays focused and plays her best.

I'm usually pretty dispassionate about who wins/loses, even when I am rooting for a favourite player. But I'm just disgusted with Azarenka's poor sportsmanship.

So, my hope would be that the crowd is so strongly for Li Na and lets Vika know loudly and repeatedly throughout the whole match that she is a cheating *#!*bag, so that she is so upset, she mentally implodes & loses.

I really don't like Li, and I like Azarenka. So I want Vika to win, and I think she'll do it in 3.

Take that everyone...

Quoted for humorous truth; all of the bandwagoners are ****ed because Azarenka did not roll over for the hype machine. That's what this boils down to, and these johnny-come-lately "fans" cannot accept that Stephens just happened to be in that semi thanks to a very lucky series of events. She's not the second coming, America's Next Hope or the answer to anything.

On a side note, if Azarenka loses, does Serena become #1 then?

You would be correct as Azarenka would lose 600pts while Serena gained 220pts.

Li Na better win in Straights. If she loses a set....Azarenka will capitalize on the mentality of her game.

Azarenka in her interview....you can see was lying. She was stuttering and her voice was shaky when it came to the back issue.

She said she was overwhelmed by Sloane in the court interview.....that was the truth. When you are on the spot.....you don't have the time to think of a lie. When the press conference came up...she started her back lies.

I'm still learning the rules (and the ways around them) of the game. I'm thrilled that we will not have a champion named Williams. Cheering for Ms. Na, but I think the Battered Poodle (Ms. Azarenka) will win. 3 sets ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't stand her. She's arrogant and reminds me far too much of Lance. She also treats the ballkids like crap as well.

How is this even possible? Li Na is probably the most likable player on the WTA while Lance 2.0 is the least.

I can't be the only one hoping for an Azarenka win?

She's hotter and funnier as well. I like her fire and gamesmanship, unlike the sterile Chinese robot.
