Big Banger Rough Alernatives

I read a couple of threads similar to this, but I thought I would ask based on my specific information. I somewhat recently came back to tennis and immediately fell in love with Luxilon Big Banger. Admittedly my previous string was pro-blend so admittedly my standards are low.

My average breaking time is probably around 6-8 hours of play depending on the quality. I read here the playability goes after 3 hours which I think is an exaggeration, but by approximately the 6 hour point the string/racket seems to play like a board. In principal I don't cut out strings so I suffer through last couple of hours. I want the extra 2 hours but am unwilling to give up the performance. Is there a string similar to this.

Just have to try different kinds of polys, some textured will be a tad softer than others and some will be more stiff. You could also try the strings that are shaped different as well. Big hitter Rough is fairly cheap and people seem to like it a lot. Signum Pro are also fairly common and are a little less expensive than the "higher grade" strings. Try things like tecnifibre black code or rough code along with strings made by solinco. Was at State Closed last year in FL and some of the juniors there were saying that solinco was a great alternative for lux. I really liked Lux alu power Spin, which seemed a bit softer, and i always got the satisfaction of breaking it before it went dead.

I did some more research after my post and I think I am just going to cut the strings after 6 hours. I did try the other luxilon types when my stringer ran out and didn't even really like those strings (slight exception to the original). It also takes a while to adjust to the changes.

I've only rarely cut out strings over the years, but I am old now and will take any advantage I can get. Its already pretty expensive playing with the strings so I guess a bit more isn't going to kill me.

yeah, always good to try new stuff though. If you have the means and can afford paying a little more for string that is a bit pricey and you really enjoy the playability and feel of then stick with it, nothing better than feeling confident on the court with a set up that you enjoy and know.
