Hi guys,
I am considering to buy one of the tonic. And would like to know your opinion on each of them. Who played with both, would appreciate any feedback. Thanks |

Nobody played either?
What is actually the gauge of Ball Fell BT7 - 1.30 or 1.35? |

There was a printing error on the package labels.
Ball Feel is 1.30 but some labels say 1.35.

I have played both of them.
It used to mis-print 16 as 15L. As I recall, if it says "Ball Feel 15L", that is 16g. "Longevity 15L" is real 15L. Tonic+ is cheaper than VS because of gauge inconsistency anyway. If you use dense string pattern(18x20) and hit kinda flat, you might not feel much diffs. If you hit topspin a lot, you may want 16g rather than 15L. and 15L will feel slightly stiffer than 16g. |

I use 16x18..
Does really Ball Feel (16g) frays much faster than 15L version? And how they play on clay? It is said that Longevity version is more suitable for playing on clay and it is not fraying so much at all... |

I have used tonic 15 as a main with a soft poly cross and had no problem with spin. Also, the tonic in 15 is very durable and still feels great.
I'd keep using it in my mains but I like Technifibre X-1 Biphase 16 better and the price is better too. |

I started using Tonic Ball Feel 16g, and I posted my experience in another thread:
http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showp...1&postcount=42 I play on green clay and noticed no fraying after about 2 hours. Other natural gut strings will at least show some micro-fraying at that point for me. Compared to Klip Legend and Pacific Classic, Tonic appears to be higher quality, although I prefer the softness and feel of Pacific Classic. |

I would agree if you have to with gut in your situations. How's Austria these days? I miss my 7 days at Vienna, dearly. |
