The GOAT slice was Rog's last line of defense and it was totally exploited by Murray's ability to kneel down and tee off with the two-hander. And Murray had a nice counter slice as well.

Rog couldn't serve, couldn't move to his forhand, couldn't neutralize with his slice well enough. Amazing he took it to 5.

Thats why he epitomize's a great champion, he is able to pick himself up time and time again after tough losses and come back strong each time, i expect nothing different this time round, even though i don't think this will be a particularly hard loss to get over anyway.

What I DIDN'T like were the amount of handwaves he did to the crowd at the end, almost as if he was going to retire......

Nah, he was just very appreciative of the amount of support the crowd was giving him. He'll be back, rest assured.

Delpo loss at USO 2009 within 2 points is the worst day of my life. Compared to that , today was a happy dance seeing Fed being so clutch in those 2 tie breakers. The 5-6 game and the looks of Murray at the end of it was priceless.

Yeah he won't have too much trouble accepting this one - he will know that Murray was the better player so he'll know that he did very well to win two sets.
Agreed though, that US open final loss to delpo was definitely one of the toughest!

Fed's worst final losses (imo):WTF 2005 vs Nalby, Rome 2006 vs Nadal: he was way ahead in the 5th , W 2008 vs Nadal, AO 2009 vs Nadal, USO 2009 vs Delpo and WTF 2012 vs Djoko (he was leading in both sets).
(his worst semi loss was USO 2011, losing to Djoko after largely dominating the match and seemingly having the 5th under control).
