Be serious! Where do you think you will get wins from. I would like to hear that. |

The early ranking are polls. After the NTI finishes in a few weeks, they convert to the computer rankings. There is no reason for the polls to take a long time to sort out, other than inertia and ignorance on the part of the voters.

They just copy the rankings of last year with minor changes when results happen. I'm not sure they really follow college tennis.

We are no worse than VCU and Vanderbilt. Austin Ansari who plays 6/7 for us straight setted Rhys Johnson in the fall. I know one result doesn't mean much but its something. We can win doubles. The Maden brothers are near unbeatable at the moment. Meza and Pieters have had 3 set battles in the past, Meza can win at 3 if he is on. Dom Maden can hang with Wagland at 4. As can Rigsby at 5 with Smith. Wibowo is a wild-card and can definitely win at 6 if he is playing well. The only one I am completely conceding is Harrington at 2. Clemson is better this year than last and Georgia isn't as good as last year. I think it will be a good match. It will definitely test us for sure. |

I agree with all of those except for Drake. I think FSU will beat Drake rather handily.

Harvard digs it out with a late surge at #5. Mahlangu was down 4-5 and won the last 3 games to clinch it for the Crimson.

Mahlangu was down at least 3-0 in that 3rd set and it might have been 4-0 before coming back.

College tennis hasn't figured it out yet. All the rules changes, scoring changes, format changes, point penalty changes won't do a bit of good until they figure out how to put up a proper, working, scoring system and video on the Internet.

Was one of the teams I was thinking of but did not want to name names before the first couple matches. My improssion was based off watching them at the ITA Indoor last fall. They'll still have a good year.
