Default Graphene Speed Pro top bumper question

I just received my racquets and noticed that the plastic at the top of the racquet is like being tweeked outwards. Is this something I should worry about, or is it expected? Thanks!

Neil1b, do you mind posting pictures of your frames? It happened to me today but the piece with the tab thats supposed to be under the other piece was actually on top and I ended up bringing it to a store where they cut the piece off with the tab without asking me ...

So I'm going to have to get a new grommet set for one of my frames.

Same thing here, received the stick strung from TW, and...see the picture below. They are sending the replacement strings, though, I am not sure if the grommet would be possible to fix. Terrible design, not sure why they went this way...

What if you put some super glue? And this also happened to my IG Instinct.

You couldn't do what I just suggested? Take a tool to push the tabbed part underneath the adjoining part? The OP looks like it's been done.

Both my Head Graphene Speed MP and Graphene Speed Pro demos had the same problem, both at the top and the bottom of the racquets. It seems that the grommet strips can't handle the stress at the double string holes.

Looks like very poor design. Head should place that gap where the strings will hold it down. Babolat grommets have the same issue sometimes.

If it really bothers you, it looks like it wouldn't hurt to cut it off. From what I can see in the picture it falls between mains. There is only one way to string mains so the string won't ever bridge that gap. Although cutting off that piece could be aesthetically unpleasant and also create a sharp end.

Nope, it is "stretched" too much and it pops right out.
It does not bother me that it is sticking out, I am pissed because it is a poor design and barely protecting strings inside the hoop. That is why TW sent me a new set of strings - if these break early due to this flaw.
Apparently, they do not have the replacement grommets available, yet.

That is what a person at a pro shop did without asking me and I'm extremely perturbed at how it looks. I'd rather have it sticking out than cut off. I am waiting for tomorrow to call Head and see if they could in anyway send me a new grommet set although TW says head hasn't even started producing them.

Extremely perturbed are pretty strong words, especially since it doesn't affect playability, but yeah it sucks

All of the Head frames in the new line have done this. Just poorly designed. Doesn't effect playability, but it is frustrating.

Yea, if it bothers you, Get a new Grommet and replace it. that will help. but otherwise NO difference in play.

and Does these new GRAPHENE work well ? Does it really have more power and more control ? Novak did win today.

Personally, not crazy about the Speeds. The Instinct tho, is a very solid frame in my opinion.
