Would someone sum up what happened in broad strokes please? Did Novak simply dominate him physically? Was Andy beaten before he took the court?

Well matches between these two are always going to be very tough and close (and usually boring), Murray's blisters in the third set definitely hindered his level of play for the rest of the match and that was enough for Djokovic to blow him out. Before that it was a close match.

They have a similar style of play, but I think Djcokovic played smart with his net plays

Djokovic played better and conserved over the whole tournament.

I hope The Bawss has included that in his excuses thread.
I think the match was practically over at that stage, feather or no feather.

they said he had a blister, but at times it looked like the legs were giving issue as well. its just curious because andy had been barely tested before the final, and not at all til the semi.

So the draw and how it played out was again a decisive factor?

Murray took Federer out and Federer took Murray out. I thought Murray had it in the second set but he just couldn't sustain it.

I just want to know if Murray brought any fight, that's all.
Was he smug towards Djokovic and how long, or was he rather petulant towards the whole situation? That's all I need to know about Andy's buttons for my purposes.

Murray did not have the energy. Probably due to the difference in their semi final matches.

They were just about evenly matched, Murray with a slight edge, but Murray tired first and Djokovic capitalised.
