why does novak play like he did today against murray he was far more aggressive against federer at uso2011 and rg2011,why does he start to push a lot more against murray and nadal?

Because they move and defend as well as he does, he can't afford to give them cheap errors.

Because Murray plays the same style as Djocovic. They both are very defensive players, counter-punching throughout the match, with low chance of error. Attacking play has a greater chance of error, which Murray's counter-punching style favors.

He is more tactically astute nowadays. In the current court condition, it is very difficult to blast a winner in one strike against good defenders. It is also riskier to go for broke too often. Better strategy is rallying, changing ball direction to control the court and to slowly find a good opening.
I think the reason of Djoker's loss in the first set is he goes too much for kill shot without maneuvering and wearing Murray down first. When he slowed down and built up the rally later on, he won quite comfortably. His offensive mindset is still there by actively controlling the point and the court. |

Murry is a more of a counter puncher, but Djoker is more of a offensive base-liner. The difference is that he actively control the point and the court by redirecting the ball and creating angles.
