Yeah, how can one not miss Nadal?

One of the worst tennis matches I have ever seen. The fact that it was a Grand Slam tournament final says a lot for the direction the sport is going in.
Bring back different surfaces with different speed please.

Hey, if enough people start complaining and stop watching this crap, ITF will be forced to adapt. It's like the pendulum has swung too far the other way compared to the fast court of the 90s.

As Federer-Nadal era draws to a close (or is closed), I can't bear watching this kind of tennis for the next 4-5 years. It was the same kinda point over and over and over again. I was sleeping for most of the match. There is no strategy at all, except for retrieve each and every ball till the other faults. Sometimes, lost in the rallies, I couldn't tell which player was which.

Any combination of the top 4 is fun to watch. I'm just very happy we're in such a golden era with 4 top players who are so strong and dominant. And the second fiddles are pretty good too (Tsonga/Berd). With Nadal back soon and some interesting youngsters, 2013 should be a great season.

Murray, Djokovic and Nadal, talented as they are, are too similar in their game. They need Federer — or someone like a Tsonga — to offer pleasing contrast.
They should just put Fed in every final and let the other three fight it out to see who can face him. |

Nadal and Federer have nothing smile about. Their own rivalry was not even the best ever.

Agreed just a lot of misplaced nostalgia going on here their matches were rife with unforced errors. Djokovic and murray are the best hardcourt players around bottom line.

So I can be subjected to seeing that tired worn down excuse of a player I saw against Murray he was truly pathetic.

We haven't been so lucky for years. Not since the Mac, Borg , Jimmy time have we seen such incredible tennis. I cannot bear to look forward even the next ten years because I don't see anyone on the horizon. I wish I could give this lot a magic pill that would keep them this young, this fit and this great for years to come

Federer and Murray matches have always been messy, but there are times when they both have great numbers. Check out the stats from last years Wimbledon final, both men hit far more winners than unforced errors. So, there is no need to cry for more Fedal matches. That is not the only exciting matchup in tennis. What you should really be hoping for is more aggressive player that can compete with Nadal, Djokovic, and Murray and prevent those guys from continuously meeting each other for massive slugfests.
