I got the otterbox defender today and it is causing me to fall out of love with the iphone 5.

The case is a huge, overweight brick. Some problems I've noticed immediately with just light use:

-typing is difficult because of the massive thickness of the case

-the screen protector makes the touchscreen very unresponsive

-the bulk and size make you feel like you're carrying a phone from the 1990's.

I guess I'll use the defender for the next few days as I shop for a lighter, more user friendly case.

I have the note2 and use the otter box defender case. Feels normal size after a few days just hang in there.

I'll have to use the case anyway for a few days while I shop for a new case.

I'm not optimistic about the otterbox: your hand position while typing is inherent unnatural.

I also can't fit the case comfortably in a pants pocket. In a jacket pocket, the entire side of the coat is pulled down by the bulk of this thing.

It is far too much protection for most people in most situations.

Flipped back to my iPhone 5 last night. Yes I'm tired of the same old iOS interface but it sure beats the Android platform. I just can't get into it no matter what I do. Not switching again. Galaxy S3 is no more in my book.

Reportedly; demand for the iPhone 5 is diminishing rather quickly. If the Samsung Galaxy actually takes the lead; I'll probably start rooting for Apple...

If they had a bigger screen and something akin to widgets, I'd probably get one.

Ok, whats up with you Apple peeps/bots?

I'm starting to get worried; my patriotic leanings are starting to take hold. Apple needs to step it up! I'm up for a new phone in about 5 months; hopefully Apple will have something fully competitive by then...

Still lovin' it.

I feel bad for folks who take it that seriously. Just a phone, but a great one for me.

Its not just a phone its a choice. I take my choices seriously. You may still be loving it, but it looks like you're representing a smaller and smaller group of consumers.

I want Apple, and other American companies, to do well. Apple needs to adapt and quit resting on its laurels or the high praises of its loyalists...

Upgrading my ipad2 to the 4 today. I love the resale value of Idevices. I sold a couple and my upgrade to a new ipad is less than $100.

You seem to have a hatred of Apple. Not sure why you are so passionate about a phone but to each their own.

Nah, I just don't believe your recent statements. There is a deep down illogical hatred of the iPhone in your blood. It's all cool, I used to work with a guy like that.

You're ridiculously mistaken (believe what you want)...

I definitely want to give the iphone a chance; Apple just has to step up its game! I'm thinking they will soon given the recent results regarding the 5.

I have a Mac at home; having an Iphone would make things that much easier, especially itunes integration. but i won't buy the 5; it just doesn't compare favorably and is way too small.

Regardless of my personal choice, i still like it when American companies are dominating. However, it looks like Samsung is pretty much #1 right now (world wide at least).

I've been mistaken before but never ridiculously so. Always firsts in life. OK, enough messing with you. Serious question, do you have Apple TV?
