Default Weight vs Stiffenss - Which one's the best in stability?

I've got a bunch of frames and its got me curious if some are worth adding lead to or not. Is there a rule of thumb?

All the major manufacturers are finding ways to add stability with less weight through added stiffness.

I know first generation of stiff racquets weren't very arm friendly, but the newer ones seem too be improving.

Head racquets for a while were making their frames that vary in stiffness depending on the swing (youtek).

And do racquets lose stiffness overtime?

Weight.

You won't lose any stiffness unless you go through multiple thousands cycles (flexes) assuming you don't abuse the racket (leave it in your 200+ degree trunk for months or throw it in an oven. ) Even then, any loss of stiffness would probably be rather slight.

Light, stiff rackets suck IMHO.

If you play against hard hitters, there is no substitute for mass. It is simple physics.

I think you have to look at any manufacturer's claims with a jaundiced eye, youtek or otherwise. Not buying the racket stiffness changes due to your swing speed thing at all myself.

Definitely weight. Whether it be overall static weight or adding weight in the hoop. Weight is your answer to stability.

Stiffness doesn't help stability

I don't mind that graphene. I'm tempted to get either the mp or pro.

Yes, we know it's all about the technique. But if your racquet collapses every time you volley..you need to add some lead to it...

I agree. There's no substitute for mass.
