Hey NJboy, I remember you posted here a while ago about your 1hbh. How's the backhand going?
What are the specific problems that you have related to footwork? Anyways, to give you a generic answer: It's important to place your left foot in the correct place to allow your right foot to step forward and across your body (to close your stance) to set up your forward swing. Here is a video the places great emphasis on the use of the right foot.
