I'd like to see her in the top10. She's a feisty attacking player even if she doesn't have the power of the big hitters.

Her match against ARad at Wimbledon was good to watch.

Rude towards Lisicki I think she's quite a cute girl, and she has trimmed down quite a bit over the offseason.

I am glad to see her in the finals of pattaya city. I know she can win the event, but I also know she could throw it away if she goes into error mode.

I think Sloane has a great shot to make the top 10. She still needs to polish a few areas in her game, but it's quite doable.

Default "Mona Barthel"

Mona Barthel is in the final of Paris GDF Suez open against Errani.

Very happy for her.

Is Barthel finally making the breakthru we were waiting for?
Certainly hope so.

Another fine development in WTA!
Have a feeling 2013 is gonna be a good year,,,

If her serve is off, she always loses. A shorter, thicker Karlovic...

I don't think so. It's more her go for broke style on returns and every other groundstroke that gets her into trouble. From what I've observed her serve % is almost always in the 50's. She wins and loses serving 50%. The stronger girls do pick on her 2nd serve a bit though.

Errani is the worst top 10 player currently, it disgusts me that she is there! The sooner she's back to her journeywoman-ranking days the better. Hopefully Barthel flattens that shrimpy loud-mouthed pusher.

Hey, I would rather see her play than Sharapova-S. Williams-Azarenka-Radwanksa-Kerber...

It's boring seeing the same players at most finals in tournaments..

WTA is worse in variety than ATP.

You do realize there's only been six slam winners on the ATP since 2005 (Safin, Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Murray, Del Potro). 33 of the last 37 majors have been won by just three men. It's so bad on the ATP now that you can pretty much pencil in Federer/Nadal/Djokovic/Murray for the SFs. Ferrer made the AO SF and was executed, with few predicting anything different. Meanwhile, Generation Puke (88-91 excluding Del Potro) is mostly a lost generation.

In that same time frame WTA has had Mauresmo, Henin, Sharapova, Serena, Venus, Ivanovic, Kuznetsova, Clijsters, Schiavone, Li, Kvitova, Stosur, Azarenka hoist slam trophies.

Yeah, that's true.

But some WTA players you just mentioned there play exactly the same as each other.

Absolutely not. Pushers have no place in the top 10, especially a tier-2 pusher like Errani. Talk about boring? The FO final and USO semifinals speak for themselves. How she even got that far in those tournaments is beyond me.

And which of the top men's styles is unique and unprecedented?

I find the players who have to rely on something other than power refreshing. The Errani Kerber match from the us open was riveting. Point construction, all court play, grit.

Lisciki was dreadful after she won the first set but seems to have come to life again after being match point down

looks like it's retty fast. Sad that WTA got rid of the majority of fast-court indoor events

Errani is a tough player it's no mistake she is where she is in the rankings. She can play. First time I saw her was about three years ago she just dominated Patty Schnyder at US Open. Stunningly easy too.

Default "Mona Barthel" - 2013 Paris Champion!

Big congratulations to Mona Barthel.

2013 Champion of Paris GDF Suez open.

Though didn't play particularly well today, got the job done.

Big Grafian serving & forehand,
modern Kvitovanian backhand,
Kimiko Date timing.

go Mona Barthelllllllllllllllllll!
