I do agree with you, and I'll give you Kerber (she can actually hit winners when she wants to, as well as play some amazing defense) but Errani is a PUSHER, not a crafty player like Radwanska. Errani is even harder to watch than Wozniacki with that hideous manly grunting (if you even want to call a 2-syllable shout a 'grunt').

This is what irritates me most! I would normally root for her, being short and using craft to work her opponents, but that grunt makes me hate her! I can tolerate a lot of annoying grunts, but hers is top tier. I just can't stand it when she hits her little puffballs and lets out one of those squawks and starts stomping around like she's some kind of bad*****. Freakin' chihuahua! So annoying!

Over half of the top 10 in WTA are pushers...In fact, make that top 20.. You see bad match ups all the time and bore the heck out of me... Errani is not the only grunter out there that is annoying... I'm not leaving ATP out of the picture, they are just as bad.. having the Top 4 Players at the Semifinals for the AO? I call BS.

I hate Errani and everything about her game and personality. I am sorry. I also think it is a total joke she won Player of the Year over Kerber last year. I hope she falls out of the top 30 this year. I also think she is a huge PED abuser, probably thrice as pumped as even Djokovic and Nadal might be, and that explains her fast rise from obscurity last year.

As for the fact that having the Top 4 players in the world always making the SF being a bad this...ya its totally horrible that players actually..you know..live up to their rankings and seedings and show why they are the best. Thats totally horrible. The only credible thing in this post is that Errani isn't the only annoying grunter. . |

Ferrer (#4) is not talented or has any skill. He can only beat lesser players at the mental game. Check his last match with Almagro for reference. Please, let's not go there. Easy. Obviously, the easy ones are Sharapova and Azarenka. This match between these too alone is a worse match up than Djokovic and Murray. Okay, 3 more. Another one is Stosur, check her latest match with Jankovic for reference as well. The last two are Kvitova and Bartoli. This is why I don't watch WTA anymore. Younger players like Bouchard will never see a spot at top 10 any time soon... not even top 50. This is because that tennis has devolved from skill to physicality which closes the doors to decent players but cannot last to other players like S.Williams which is disappointing. You don't have to agree with my opinion. To each his own. But the facts are visible within the matches these women have played.

It is clear you really do not watch womens tennis because you lost all credibility by calling Sharapova a pusher. |

Overdrive's last post has just confirmed what I believed all along: he has absolutely no clue what he is talking about. I see no reason for this discussion to continue -_-

She has also had some good matches against Stosur, USO 2011 and Beijing 2011 I think were the good matches if I remember correctly.

sloane doesn't have it in her mentally or game-wise to beat non-injured top 5 players. She needs to be more aggressive when it counts in order to make it to the top 10.
she pushes will though. Like a WTA version of Gilles Simon. perhaps she should emulate David Ferrer and Gilles Simon more.

I was thinking during the match that Barthel is what Kvitova would be were she 1) fit 2) a much quicker and better mover and 3) right handed. girls got game and like Kvitty, she is dangerous on a fast court. This tourney I came away majorly impressed by Bertens and Barthel

All this talk about pushers. And WTA has been accused of being nothing but brainless ball bashers?
Defensive/Pushers/Passive players in the top 20: Azarenka Radwanska Kerber Errani Wozniacki Stephens Vinci (IMO she's more all-court) That's only 7 there out of the top 20 the way I see it. ![]()

And I can't stand that tag team routine that Errani has going on with Vinci. Did my ears deceive me or did Errani not even have the presence of mind to congratulate Barthel in the post-match ceremony? She was too busy thanking her 'coach' Roberta. |

She's extremely fit but has no womanly attributes--flat chest, no curves. Her body is reminiscent of a prepubescent boy. That said, she has a lovely face. |
