In the Jan. 30 rankings, the Hurricanes men's team move up 4 spot to No. 60, while the women stay at No. 9.

The Hurricane men's team defeated the Central Florida Knights 6-1 today at Coral Gables! The Canes (3-2) now face #50 Rice Owls on Sunday.

The men's team beat #50 Rice for the first time since '07 today! After a close doubles point they took off of in the singles matches. Good win today. Now at 4-2 and will face LA-Lafayette again on Friday. Beat them in a close one in the ITA Kick-Off.

The ITA put out the draw for the Team Indoors. The Hurricane women face #17 Nebraska in the first round and if they win that, they'll probably face top seed UCLA in the quarters. 1st round is noon Friday.

The women's team won a tough one against Nebraska 4-2. could have gone either way but these freshmen are tough. Facing UCLA tomorrow.

The Canes' men's team went up to Tampa and defeated the South Florida Bulls 5-2 for their 4th straight win. The Canes are now 6-2 for the season. Ranking should go up just a bit.

Tough loss for the Hurricanes today. Very close doubles point and then they lost the first 5 of 6 sets and couldn't climb back. UNF wins 5-2. They are 6-3 for the year.Got to bounce back against Texas Tech and New Mexico next weekend. Go Canes!

The women's team lost a tough one too against the No. 25 Florida State Seminoles. It came down to the 3-3 with the #1 singles to decide it. Laurente had at least one match point but lost the match in a 3-rd set tiebreaker. Tough loss but they are still young and will bounce back. Clemson is up next for the Canes!

#69 Canes go up against #58 Texas Tech in Texas today. Both teams are 6-3 and needing this win. Was a bit worried about Flores after not being able to play singles last weekend but he is in the lineup today.

Miami fell behind 3-1 but the last three matches went to the final set. The scoreboard first had Stancati as a winner so it was 3-2 in favor of Texas Tech. Then Soto won 7-5 and Albanese won 7-6 but then Stancati's win was flipped to a loss for a 4-3 TT win.
Dear College Tennis. Until you figure out how to run a simple scoreboard, fans will stay away, programs will be scrapped and college tennis will continue to be irrelevant. NCAA, ITA, USTA whoever is in charge is a big huge fail right now.

Oh so you thought your guys had pulled out a clutch win? There's no excuse for that.
The problem is these schools hire people to run the scoreboard who have no idea what tennis is. Get someone who is interested to do it. Not that hard. |

The #15 women's team faced #23 Clemson today at Coral Gables and it was a close one. Miami won the doubles and singles #5 to start things off and grab a 2-0 lead but then Clemson won singles #4, 1, 2 to take a 3-2 lead. But Miami took singles #6 and #3 to grab the 4-3 victory. The Canes gals are now 7-3, 1-1 ACC. Next up is at Georgia Tech on Saturday.

March 5th Team Rankings are out!
The guys move up a couple notches to #67 so they're still in real danger of falling out altogether. Need to win this weekend. The ladies also move up a couple to #13 this week. They play at #32 Georgia Tech this week. ITA Rankings
