Murray will get to match point in the final of RG against Nadal/Djokovic, but then as he hits an ace to seal the match, a ball will fall out of his pocket yet again, therefore the serve won't count. He'll then stop to pick up a feather, and will double fault. Then he'll lose the match.

Maybe RG should switch to blue clay.
How about a beach tennis tournament?

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again!

There are a lot more ranking points on offer in Masters events than for 250 events, obviously. You can only count 18 events anyway, so playing everything there is to play on clay wouldn't even improve his ranking.
i know..i saw that interview, but ive always felt he dos'nt play enough..if he played more he could drop his worst results off his 18 tourneys (if he even plays that many now)..but its up to him obviously..

he is good on clay but i think it takes him longer to adjust/ get into it..anyway i am not his coach so thats that on we go..its time to run up and down miami beach (theres plenty of it).

as a women said in the 1967 film 'TONY ROME' with frank sinatra..

"Miami beach..20miles of sand looking for a city, 20miles of pure jerks",

not that murray is a jerk, i just remembered that quote..bwahahahah.

They play completely different games. The FO suits Soderling's style of play believe it or not; The slowness and the type of bounce on the court fits right into his game plan.

The reason his ranking isn't better aren't smaller events. He has to do better in Masters to improve his ranking and you can't substitute those for 250s. That's why he plays less events to prepare better for those that really matter. I'm sure he will train on clay in Miami though.

He HAS to play 4 500s (or 3 and MC), so I'm sure he will, unless he's injured.

4 Slams + 9 Masters (MC is confirmed) + 3/4 500s (likely: Barcelona, Tokyo, Basel/Valencia) + Brisbane + Queens = 18/19 events

Did Kuerten ever reach a clay court ATP final before the French Open final of 1997?

I believe it was the first final he had ever reached on any surface. Not just slam final but first ever main tour final.
