Default Comment for Chris, your blog on tailweighting

Chris, I really liked your blog on tail weighting. I just discovered it, I believe you wrote it several months ago, but this is the direction I have gone with my racquets. I just have switched to the 99s, and have added about 1.5 oz to be tail, to bring the weight up to 12.8, and yet leave the swing weight about the same. I love this set up. It was easy for me to do because I like to build up the butt of the racquet kind of like Gasquet does.

Glad you are enjoying that set up. Tail weighting is something I'm continuing to explore. Andy just weighted up a TFight 315 Ltd 18 main and we are enjoying experimenting with that racquet with a tail weight emphasis.

I have found I can get into the low 13 ounce range and still keep the racquet feeling very fast and easy to manage if I keep the swingweight in the 320 range.

Happy hitting,
Chris, TW
