He was also landing alot of balls short in the court but that comes with match play and timing.

His movement is suspect, imo.
I agree with what you said but I think once he gets some matches under his belt he should be back to his best in a couple of weeks.

I hope gets back to top form, and back into the big four soon.
John Isner created history at the 2010 Wimbledon championships. He defeated Nicholas Mahut of France 6-4, 3-6, 6-7 (7), 7-6 (3), 70-68. The match lasted 11 hours and 5 minutes and took 3 days to finish. That is when Isner earned the name "Marathon man" and rightfully so.

its one thing to be awkward with movement, its another thing to be hesitant.

at times he looked like he was hesitant to really test the legs.

but we will see.

He played a nobody and according to people who actually watched the match his movement looked suspect. How he plays against Monaco in the final will be a better data point.

Rafa continues to be:

Adjusting his socks
Bouncing up and down during the toss
Running in a zig zag fashion after the toss
Not smiling
Adjusting his water bottles
Picking his butt
Smelling the fingers and smoothing his hair with them

New:

Tighter shorts, which means more butt picking.
