I'm guessing TW will have it up for sale soon!
I don't know. TW doesn't even have TB 19, and that has been available for a while.

True. But I think the markets are different. 19g is a pretty small selection of players that would use it. I think TW would be more motivated to get the soft in as soon as possible since there has been much more interest in it from what I've seen

Anyone able to give a comparison between TB Soft 17 and Black Widow 17?

I got two playtest sets from Solinco and used them both throughout the last few weeks. Tension remaining constant, obviously it was softer than my normal set up of Tour Bite 17 mains and Gosen OG Crosses. The response from the string bed was slightly mushier than the solid, crisp feel of regular Tour Bite. I've had problems in the past with my elbow, and I haven't had any elbow fatigue with the new Tour Bite Soft. I felt that playability was almost the same after getting used to the new soft strings. I think the biggest difference for me will just be playability duration. I found a hybrid job of tour bite 17 losing it's feel and pop in under about 8 hours. So far I've felt better playability for a longer duration from the Tour Bite Soft.

I'm making the switch from Tour Bite 17 to Tour Bite Soft 17. Just ordered 3 reels for myself and teammates.

Just had my first hit with TB soft.

It is a softer version of tb for sure and naturally more powerful. I didn't play any match play with it but it seems to have good spin and control. I was not a huge fan of original TB just due to the stiffer feeling it had,and this fixes that even though I strung it @ 55/53 in an apd. I will add more later but for now I can say it's worth the money to give it a try.

Thanks Big T... sounds just like the string I tested for TW. I was very impressed and will be getting a few sets soon.

I've played Tour Bite 17 for some time. I have enjoyed the insane spin but did not like the stiffness and loss of power outside the sweetspot. So I was looking for a softer, more forgiving poly. I recently tried hybriding Tour Bite in the mains with Black Code in the crosses and this helped somewhat, but I still wanted softer.

Along came Tour Bite Soft so I strung the 17g up in my APD 2013 just like regular Tour Bite (51 lbs). I played one singles match (4.5, about 2 hrs). It plays softer as you'd expect, I got more power and it was forgiving. The comfort is what I was looking for. Spin seems comparable but I did not have the chance to really test the angle groundstroke spin shots that make Tour Bite special. My serves seem to have all the spin that regular Tour Bite had.

On one note, before and after my first match, I moved the strings with my hand to test "snap back". The soft did not have that very fast "click back" that regular Tour Bite has. Instead it slides back and sometimes not all the way. This makes me think that the Soft version may not have all the spin regular Tour Bite has.

Nevertheless, if I am trading a bit of spin for the added comfort then I'll take it. I need to try in full bed and also see how long the playability lasts. I think I'll bump the tension up 2-3 lbs. on the Soft.

Looking forward to other reviews!

No. I tried it at 48 lbs in a smaller head size and 18x20. How did 43 lbs work for you?
