Can someone give me the approximate racquet weights of the top three? (Djokovic, Federer, Nadal) Google turned up nothing and the search in these fora is horrible.

Fed-364 grams. Djokovic-365?? Not sure about Nadals but I would imagine it would be lighter.

From FabFed's pics, Djokovics Racket was 359g
Nadal's racket is 335g without dampener http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showt...=340181&page=3 Last edited by lidoazndiabloboi : 02-04-2013 at 08:55 PM. |

Strung swingweight is more revealing.
The figures are out there but does anyone (stringers) have recent AO numbers? |

Your numbers for Fed-364 grams. Djokovic-365??
Also why I agree that swingweight is even more important, I'm curious about the weight itself, or both if you want (most pros would use a head light racquet anyhow, well, maybe except Rafa?) |

that is fabfed's thread, and Roger's racquet which is strung. http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showt...=389215&page=8 Djokovic's is 359g strung so I made a mistake on that one. This is another Fabfed thread. |

Fed, Djoko and Rafa play with rackets that weight between 340 and 370 grams (12-13+ oz) and with swingweights between 350-380 grams. Why would anyone care exactly what the weight and SW is? They make minor tweaks from time to time so it changes. They play with heavy rackets with heavy swing weights.

Thanks a lot, I didn't know who FabFed is, but I have been having my eyes of buying myself a Six.One BLX Tour, I love the few FHs I've hit with it (worry about the BH though). |

Because they think there is a "holy grail" setup. There isn't, but it does become somewhat obvious from these guys specs that most stock racquets do not have specs that are anything close to the majority of pros. If there wasn't some advantage to it..they wouldn't do it. The question is, does that advantage translate to 90% of the people who frequent these boards? I think the answer to that is no. Pros sticks are build to handle and dish out huge serves at 120MPH+, and groundstrokes with 2500RPM+ at 75+ MPH. If you don't face these kinds of shots regularly, you're carrying around more stick than you need to get the job done. Spoken from experience..I've done the experiments. My racquet is still heavy, but the huge swingweight thing is a good way to wear yourself out after a few sets.

Still don't want to go down another 15g in weight (same SW) to the stock model of Djokovic's stick (IG Speed MP 310)- although we own one in the family. |
