Has anyone noticed how bad Penn regular duty balls are lately. Never had a huge problem with them in past. But the ones they put out now are Crap. The balls are smaller, they get dirtier, have more low bounces, fly farther, & accrpt less topspin. Yesterday at OTC we labeled them as "ladies balls".

Bring real balls next time and then I can hit them harder. Those Sh!t Penns barely bounce so anything low I can't be aggressive on. Then when I get a sitter, I have to worry about whether the 0.0000000001 ounce ball will fly into the back of the fence when I hit it hard. I'd be willing to bet that most of those balls don't meet the bounce specs that all balls are supposed to meet even fresh out of the can. Add some moisture to them and then you can have absolutely no offensive game.

PP,
I bought the high end Dr. Scholls inserts today. I got a pair of $40 NB shoes at the local Sports store and signed up for some kind of program where they spam me for life but I get $5 off the shoes. So I paid $35 for the shoes and $20 for the inserts. |

nice..interested in how they compare to the standard Athletic Gels.
I put the standards in my Solutions and so far (w/ a patella band) my knee has been a lot better.

I read 1 review on Amazon and the person compared the two. It was enough to tempt me into trying it. For some reason, I'm really tearing through the regular Dr. Scholls with the shoe I'm using now. I think the shoe is causing me some mild Achilles tendinitis so that is why I'm going to relegate them to a backup role.

To the players here that belong to OTC, how is the lighting for night matches? Comparable or better to Ft Gatlin? TIA

He must be making the rounds. I got an e-mail from Stonebrook CC out in Winchester, VA, just an hour drive from Reston out Rt 50. He'll be there Saturday, May 11th giving clinics & a luncheon where you can sit & chat with him for a bit. It's called 'Wilander on Wheels'. When are you planing on coming up?

My 4 year old keeps harassing us to go to DC. We keep trying to explain how cold it is up there right now. I'm moving next month, so most likely May or early June we will head up there. I'm pretty sure I'll be bringing up a free half set of the Ytex for you to try. |

I certainly hope not. It's embarassing enough that we have a men's pro tournament with guys that have ATP points and they are playing for a few grand with balls that have sat on the shelf of Wal Mart for 3 months.
