Hi, are there any stats on who has won past national junior championships and who was coaching them at the time? Might be interesting to track what coaches are able to consistently generate above average results.

I am more interested to see a list of names who trained juniors and helped make them grand slam champions!

Would be interesting, but is it the coach at the time they win, or a coach that provided the foundation. For instance, if a kid trains with Macci, or Waters, Nick B., USTA PD for say three months and wins, do they get the all credit? However, I think the list may contain many names we have not heard of.

You can count out ITF Bollietieri because of the sheer number of talented students that go through that place. Here is one guy who claims massive success (I'd like to validate it somehow): "Over the past 10 years Heath has developed and coached 10 professional players of which his players have encompassed over 80 professional titles under Heath's tutelage. In the 7 year span prior to coaching the past 13 years on tour Heath's junior students won over 30 National and International Junior titles. Heath and Lindsay are also creators of one of the internet's most popular tennis instructional websites www.virtualtennisacademy.com. Heath is currently mentoring many coaches throughout the world. Heath has been a key note speaker at PTR, written articles for the WTA, Tennisone and other publications, and enjoys learning something new each and every day." http://www.tennisdev.com/aboutACE.html Last edited by pondus : 02-08-2013 at 05:52 PM. |

I contacted him, but I guess I gave the wrong answers when asked what my daughters tennis goals are. Never heard back. Not cool.

It is not cool you never heard back. Maybe you resend your answers or ping him again, could be he missed it. I know they should be more organized, but it happens. Then again, if your daughters goals don't align with what this guy is looking to coach, it's probably best you all are not working together.
