the reason Chardy might give him trouble is, unlike the first two opponents, Chardy can be fearless with good reason. Those guys saw this as a chance to beat Rafa and they attacked in the beginning but could not sustain.
Chardy just had his best every grand slam result, so he has some legit confidence Rafa's first two opponents did not. however that just as well might backfire, Chardy might let the confidence turn to nerves, and suffer a loss worse than anything we've seen before |

No he isn't. Not true. Lots of players start out badly against Nadal and then adjust quickly to the spin on his shots. You are also not taking into consideration that Nadal's shots have consistently been landing well inside the service boxes. Hitting short is going to get him blown off the court. No he isn't. Chardy is a better player than Nadal is right now. It's pretty humorous to argue otherwise.

For a Nadal fan, you have absolutely no faith in him. He is one of the greatest players of all time, not sure if you realize this? |

I guess I don't. He never makes things easy as fan of him that's for sure. I realize he's good but I'd stop short of calling him a great.

Your second statement is extremely true.

Just a cultural note.
Hyphenated surnames in Spain are actually quite rare. Hyphens are added by Americans so they can fit both surnames (the father's and the mother's) in the "Last Name" field of their chauvinistic databases. See, e.g., Gimeno's wikipedia entry in Spanish: http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Gimeno
