Default Wilson Steam 99S strung Spaghetti Style

After reading through a TWU article I came across the idea to string a Wilson Steam 99S spaghetti style (and a control strung up normally). I tried it with the spinniest string I know of, Solinco Tour Bite 17 and got insane results (no wonder spaghetti stringing is illegal) when comparing it with the normally strung racquet. A lot of touch/feel was lost, but when you can get so many more rpms, who cares? Shots that should never, ever go in were dropping. Angles like no other were created. And the best of all, kick serves were flying over my rather small (5'6") opponents head. Try it yourself sometime...the only disappointment you'll get is that you won't be able to use it in actual matches.

Which spaghetti version did you use? Nine crosses not interlaced?

Yes, exactly. Although, I had my friend string it up for me because stringing is not my strong suit. If you want more details I can ask him.

You should! The strings will break quite easily though...

Sorry it took so long to respond! I already cut out the strings and didn't get a pic, but here are some pics of TWU doing it the exact same way I did.

I have to try this. It looks wicked!

When you tried it, did you have any idea where the ball was going? Or, was it actually decently playable?

It was decently playable. Went full western and laughed at the complete bullcrap that was coming off my racquet. Almost all the balls landed in, but touch shots suffered tremendously. Flat serves were impossible, but spin serves were quite enjoyable. Pretty sweet setup all around...
