I think he will get back mean form in RG.....though if he remains in this funk....I prefer he reaches his Federer in the QF/SF. Federer best chance to beat Nadal at RG bar 2011.
This year might be Federer's best chance to beat Nadal at RG.

I haven't seen her say that. She said he was playing well for not having played in seven months, which prior to today was true. Did anyone think he would lose today? No, but it's a process. We'll see where he is in April.

Yep and the end of the third set also came to mental toughness. That one doesn't come back in one day obviously. On the whole, I'm rather pleased with the state of his game itself. I think the basics are good.

Actually veronique is no longer a Rafa fan, she switched allegiance to Djoker in 2011.

Veronique is more reasonable on her end of the spectrum than Clarky is on hers.

I've always liked both but I've also always put Rafa first.

Yeah, you've indicated that by saying Nadal is less intelligent...

anyway...this is not the WTA where a former champ can just enter a tournament and win after a year's absence from the game.

I said imo Djoko is the most intelligent of the top 4. I also said Rafa is the cutest In any case, I support Rafa when they play against each other and I don't think that will ever change.

Exactly. 2 finals for his come back event is a solid result. (But it's been 7 months, not 1 year).

How tall would I be if my dad was 8'11"?

Sigh.. These threads just never end, the answer is we will never know, ever!

Another absolutely worthless thread.

Nadal *WAS* healthy, but he lost. Plain and simple.

Why speculate on what COULD have happened?? Makes no sense at all.

Wow Nadal lost,surprise

World No. 73 Horacio Zeballos denied top seed Rafael Nadal a triumphant end to his first comeback event, topping the 11-time Grand Slam champion 6-7(2), 7-6(6), 6-4 to capture his first ATP World Tour trophy.

For the 1000th time - Nadal NEVER loses when he is fully fit.

If he's not healthy now then he'll never be healthy again. 9 months is a long time and if he can't run now..then time to take up pro poker.

Better to say it was fatique or timing or match toughness if you really want to make a case for Nadal.

I've never even heard of the guy. I even heard of his opponent in the semi's but not him.

Nadal will need to enter the Challengers Circuit and even then he will struggle.
