i sanded it down to the graphite. I couldnt get it all off it the gap where the bumper guard and grommits goand in the corners of the neck.. but im not sure i needed to sand it all the way down since we used that plasti dip.. you cant tell a difference where the paint was still on the racket after the dip was applied.

Do you mind sharing all the steps from start to finish?
Like the grit on the sandpaper you used, anything sprayed on before the plasti dip, etc etc. One of my Hybrid Hornet was chipped this weekend and the paint around it is peeling pretty nicely. I might go at it with a new paint job once it's ready to be re-strung. Thank you so much! |

Plasti Dip is a great product but not super durable. I have used it on golf clubs and it performs well. I would not waste your time prepping the frame with sanding, etc. Plasti Dip is a matte finish, rubberized coating, not paint. It doesn't require the extra prep work and will hide/cover any imperfections in the surface with multiple coats. The greatest benefit is that it is completely removable and leaves no residue (it peels off like a giant sticker).
