looking forward to this event.
I am going with my girlfriend. Both 50+ this year.
We will be doing Singles, dubs and mixed each.
Will get a in a few days early to do some practice, and watch some of the teams play in the week prior to the individual events.
Ciao

Same as me. I´ll arrive on the 22nd and get some good clay hours at the 23d and 24th. It will be a lot of tennis and that is needed just when looking at the al inclusive buffet

Yea! It is massive amount of players! There is a clay court club a couple of minutes to the west of Ali Bey, with 10 courts. Atleast it looks like it when looking at google-maps. Next to a soccer-field. Maybe it will be possible to practice there?

worth checking out, thanks. let´s hope not everybody googled it
two years ago, there were over 600 competitors and the place was full.
we managed to get half hours of practice once or twice, that was all

How do you book the practice courts? Is it a players desk like on the pro-tour where you book those kind of things?

I will play singles, mixed and doubles so at least i´m guaranteed to be on court 4 times (with consolidation in case of loss 1:st rd singles)

it´s hard to tell for sure, because it´s the worlds this year. but usually you can book it the same day at the pro shop. i´ll play singles, doubles and mixed as well for the same reason as you.

How's the prep going chaps?

Mine has been severely hampered by the weather! I was supposed to have a warm-up tournament this weekend, but I've had to withdraw for a coaching course.

Moz! Are you going to play the World Champs after all!? I thought you was going to skip this year!? Or is it the Team competition you are playing?

Weather in Sweden is extremely cold for the season. They even put up a Category 1 warning for heavy snowfall this 24 hour period and we expect -20 (-4 farenheit) celsius. This time last year we had +15 celsius (59 farenheit)

No, I'm playing in a small event in Portugal next week.

It's too cold to do much outside here.

Yes, red clay. Only been 4 and a half years since I last played on it!

Florida sounds good, but I might make you play doubles with me. I have enough time between now and then to get a serve.

Still using the Fischers, but trying some other frames at the moment.

Treblings - I can't find evidence of anyone entered, even myself! Where are you looking?

Last year the field was small but looked like a decent standard.

log in with your ipin and you get directed to a calender of all tournaments this year. just click on your tournament and entry list for your age group.
it´s fun to go there from time to time to see who´s playing what and look for results

Cheers Treblings - I have been trying that, turns out it was my browser that was at fault rather than me! I can see it now, cheers.

The tournament is only over 3 days so the fewer matches the better at my age.
