so does that mean the dy is "first princess" (next one in if there's a withdrawl)?

Many people, including McEnroe, Gilbert, and others have suggested a change of coach. Has it occurred to anyone that there may not be any upside to Young? That this is as good as he'll ever be? I think it's a plausible scenario.

Young is 75-125 player right now (as far as long terming)

he can shoot higher like he is now, and can make a run on some hard courts to get back down, but without coaching change his game wont ever break that bubble

i exchanged many tweets with both pMac and Gilbert, both of them predicting Blake to win the match, and i argued that he is the better player now, mostly because of his youth, spin and shot selection. He lost to a good player in the final Q, a good start to 2013, but low on the prospect list for USA right now. His serve will be his weapon this year. pMac was not too happy seeing Young beat Blake.

Russell is a very winnable match. Both guys should be happy with that draw.

I'm watching. wow Donald self-broke himself twice by double-faulting on break point. After the second one he threw his racquet.

(I like him but he is a head case at this point)

Things might work out for DY if he breaks here to win the set. At least he would start the 3rd off serving.

Edit: 15-40, dbl break point

Well, DY blew quite a few chances, especially in Russell's last 2 svc games. Had him 15-40 when he was down 6-5 in the 3rd, dumped a routine backhand ROS into the net, then lost the next 3 pts to lose the match, I believe.

He also had him 15-40 when DY was up 5-4, didnt convert any of those.

Seems like he's gonna lose to him again today. That was a fast rematch.

DY does not have world class backhand. Opponents pick on it. Than DY runs around it too much, leaving forehand corner open. Also too many unforced errors on BH.

Young reminds me a lot of Blake, like a younger Blake. I don't think we will ever see him compete in a grand slam quarter final

Another back and forth match between DY and Russell. Multiple break in the 1st set, multiple breaks so far in the 2nd.

DY lost the 1st set 6-4, is up a break for the 2nd time in the 2nd set, 3-2.

Edit: DY up 2 breaks in the 2nd, 5-2, serving for the set now.

He was in this position last week in San Jose, this time 2 breaks in hand. Let's see if he closes it out.

DY just broke again, after being up a break, to go up 5-3 in the 3rd. Serving for the match now.

If he closes it out, it'll be a big monkey off his back. I think he's lost his last 3-4 matches against Russell.

Edit: See saw continues. Back on serve 5-4 DY, 3rd set.
