Agreed especially because of how strong TAMU is at doubles. However, too much firepower from the Trojans I think. And those TAMU freshman could find it difficult in their first final 16 site match up.

Not so sure about that. They will have at least 1st and 2nd rounds in early May.

interesting ... I like all those TAMU players ... they have an good mix..
potentially a big first round upset... but it's all in the coach's lineup...

Should be good times with some nice webcams providing coverage this weekend. Hope it won't freeze due to ton of traffic. depends on how popular this event is I guess. With Cardinal out of the draw, probably won't be as much attention

True, I misread my schedule. Stanford will be in the tournament. I don't think Stanford will make it to Urbana.

Try 7 teams and 6 in the same half.

The SEC is interesting this year. Stock full of teams 7-20 but no real national title contender.

That is...unfortunate. Especially with Scholtz and Lutjen at the top of the Ole Miss lineup, yikes. Yep, definitely makes UGA the underdogs in that match now.

UGA took the doubles, wondering if Skogeng is injured as he lost both matches against Portland 2 days ago

Not having Singh in the doubles lineup wasn't the biggest blow because he's not the strongest doubles player, but not having him in singles will be tough. Our best chance will be for Wagland, Pieters, and Wood at 2, 3, and 4 and that is going to be a tall order. Maybe if Skogeng isn't 100% Brasseaux will have a shot against him at 6.

Georgia coming out really strong in singles - everyone stepping it up.
Tennessee with 1st sets at 1 and 5 already and looking good at 4. Clay Thompson goes from playing #1 last year and getting rocked to playing #5 this year and getting rocked.

Vols on the board as Libietis takes out Novikov 6-3 6-4. Still a ways to go in this one.
