Default Raonic vs. Haas - who will win?

I haven't been able to watch much of it, so I'm not really qualified to judge. Rather, I would hear your opinions. Nonetheless, here's my estimation first

Obviously, Raonic likes the court and seems to be returning better than normally. Neither player has dropped serve, yet Haas was able to take down a server of similar caliber yesterday.

Who get's the edge?
I give a slight one to Raonic given his history at this tournament and given that if he serves well, he's really, really hard to break. But I think it's only 55-35/60-40 in his favor.

Your thoughts.

Naw Milos looking really really strong.......I see straights 4 and 4 or 3 and 4 for Milos.

He's moving better than ever and his backhand has improved a ton -

I still can't believe 34 year old guy can play this good.

if MR isn't serving well TH could win (look at what he did to Isner yesterday when Isner's serve was off). On paper MR should win but who knows if Haas is in the zone?

Haas did well to get past one of the great servers in the games history last night but John's serve % was a bit down so it should be a good contest

Get over it. His career-high ranking was the same as what Roger has now.

Talent and age don't really have much to do with one another.

But clearly a combination of age and wear-and-tear from playing ATP tennis for well over a decade diminishes one's physical abilities and stamina. The fact that he can still play at this level is indeed quite rare and remarkable.

Using your logic, I guess Sampras could be expected to return now and make the Top 5 handily.

Hopefully Haas, I would love to see him make a push for top 10 this season.

Yes, would be great to see Tommy win this, but don't think he has any chance if Raonic is serving at his best!

This is a tough match. Both are playing extremely well. I give the slight edge to Raonic because of that serve. I think it will be 2 tiebreakers.

Did you play on Milos? I agree, very hard to call this one, should be nice contrast of styles (all-courter vs big serve and FH) either way.

Staying away from this match. Too close to call. Normally I'd go Haas but Raonic is really impressive this tournament.

I suspect Milos takes this in straights (something along the lines of 7-6, 6-4). On a slow-medium outdoor HC, this match-up might be a toss-up. But SJ is to Milos what MC is to Rafa.

It's too bad this is the last year in SJ....otherwise Milos might have been able to wrack up 8-10 straight championships.

I think Raonic will win in straight sets. I love Haas' game, but what I saw from Milos against Querry yesterday was extremely impressive. The movement and return of serve were very good. Looks like all the stuff he worked on in the off season is starting to click.
