Lets be honest here: If I'm going to stalk a player, it'd probably be someone like Kirilenko or Ivavovic. However, at age 50 with three high school kids, I'm guessing that wouldn't go over too well.

I don't understand why people are so shocked by this. Federer was always like this, obsessed with the game solely for monetary purposes. The only reason he wants to play until Rio 2016 is for more money; he knows he'll never, EVER balance the overall H2H ( 10-18 ), slam H2H ( 2-8 ) or hard-court slam H2H ( 0-2 ) with Nadal, especially since he hasn't beaten Nadal in a slam since 2007. And Federer can't even make one of the most insignificant tournaments on the calendar (in the least respectable part of the tennis season) his pet tournament. Looks like he's trying to find a Nadal-Barcelona equivalent for himself (not that he ever will, since Barcelona is far more prestigious than any of the indoor hard-court events, and Nadal has won the title 7 times compared to Federer's 6 (and Nadal's were in 7 attempts).

We'll see how Nadal fares in ACAPULCO. It will show a better measure of where his game is at, against higher seeded opponents particularly against Ferrer (if he ever meets him in the Finsals that is)

Otherwise, we're all waiting to see where Murray gets placed in the draw to see whether Federer or Djokovic got the bye into the finals...assuming Ferrer makes it to the semis, of course.
