Sounds like it's getting heated in this thread, glad to see some passion. I took yesterday off from stringing, and I got to catch the UVA/OSU match, that one was pretty thrilling to see live. I'm pretty undermotivated to spectate, though, when I've been stringing all day and night. I also find much of the cheering to be bordering on obnoxious. I find that Men's college tennis feels even more dramatic than a lot of the stuff I see in the Pros. I totally understand the camaraderie and team aspect to it, though, so I give it a pass. As a stringer, though, I'm always glad to see UVA come out on top, they're a pretty good customer

It's probably just your "Tied for 7th" trophy your team just picked up. Do they give you a trophy for that? Maybe it just says "Participant".

maybe uva fans won't say it yet due to the jinx factor, but they simply won't lose four singles matches

these teams are in two different weight classes this yr, regardless of what peter smith will do to try to get his team caught up by NCAAs

I gotcha MJ, I've been watching the Styslinger/Hanfmann match. Big turn around there - Mac was up 3-0 and now is serving at 3-5

I don't like these teams. They all have cookie-cutter styles of play. Where's the creativity and originality in this sport these days?

Styslinger fights off a set point and holds. Hanfmann will serve for the set up 5-4

if by that you mean lower-percentage crappy tennis it can probably be found at UT
