Default Just bought a bag and...

So I just bought a 12 pack bag off my friend but it has a smell to it. Not a bad odor smell, it's the kind of smell where you first walk into someone else's house. But to get to the point, is there a way I can get the smell out?

Thanks
Vuman

- clean it
- keep one of those little bags that come with shoes inside of the tennis bag
- keep the bag slightly open when it is at home

So far I vacuumed the bag to get dirt and stuff out, wiped it down with wet wipes, stuck those packs you were talking about in the bag, and also put dryer sheets in them. Most of the smell is gone now and hopefully it's going to stay gone. Thanks for the advice!

Hi there is this thing you put in shoes like after playing sports like soccer and that little ball keeps it from smelling you can get it at a sports shoe store like foot locker, champs, etc. You can just pop one in the bag and it should keep the bad smell away and release a great scent

Use dryer sheets.

Edit: Didn't read your second post saying you already did this. Sorry!

Douse your bag with vinegar then wash it off with laundry detergent.

Another thing that works great along with baking soda, is just letting it air out in the fresh outdoors and the sun. Though depending on where you live, there might not be too much sun at this point.

Thanks for the advice guys. I pretty much go it to a pretty neutral smell now.

As for never buying used bags, I normally hate getting used things. He basically gave me the bag so I decided to use it til I have money to buy a new one.
