It's a pretty strong field out there, Fed, Djoko, Berdych, Juan Martin, Jo - 6 of the top 10 players if I'm not mistaken. Who takes the title?

Strange to see Murray not defending his points. Federer should be glad he has a tiny breathing space as he only needs to make the final now to increase the gap between points.

If all things go to planned it should be Djokovic V Federer. Hopefully with the fast courts in Dubai Roger wouldn't go out early like in Rotterdam, but he's been in South Africa this week so you never know travelling may be tiresome for him.

As for the others I expect Berdych to make the semi, and Delpo as well but it's possible he may run out of gas (he didn't last year).

If you put Djoker and Fed in this court I will definitely go for Fed anyday (bar 2011 Djoker), but due to the current circumstances I would say Djokovic is the favourite.

Djokovic and Federer should be the favourites, but the rest depends on what happens in Marseille. Delpo will be playing his third tournament in a row (winning Rotterdam, still in Marseille), and Berdych and Tsonga are also still going strong in Marseille. I imagine there could be a few strategic tanks with an eye on Indian Wells.

I'll take Djokovic over Delpo in the final, if they're on opposite sides of the draw.

Federer to win.. He will really want to get this one after Rotterdam.

is the draw out?

Great line-up. Should be a lot of fabulous tennis. Llodra and Davydenko will go far. Both 'in-form'.

+1,

But very interested in crashes between Djokovic, Federer, Del Potro and Tsonga.

I think Djokovic will win it. Federer hasn't convinced me yet in 2013 and he doesn't have last year's motivation (to get back to #1) either.

He decided to take February off to concentrate on getting as fit as possible for IW and Miami (given he's had disappointing results at both in the last 3 years, especially at IW).

Djokovic will likely win the title. Federer has looked awful so far this year.

I always vote for Novak, and I'm always afraid he'll lose. Just excited to see him back on the courts after what feels like a long break. I do think the guys who have been playing in tournaments the last two weeks are bound to be getting a little tired so hopefully the long break works in his favor.

Thanks! Interesting gamble. If he wins both masters, he'll be #1 in the race ranking Worth a shot, I suppose.

Great field for a 500, and it's all live on UK tv, which is great news for me. Looking forward to this, and almost disappointed Novak is playing (actually more disappointed Murray isn't), as otherwise I think it'd be much more of a close tournament. Fully expect Nole to win, but hoping a Tsonga/del P can spring an upset.

Lets not be naive about this he obviously was not paid enough. He has points to defend.

Djokovic has Delpo in his half but Federer will probably have to get through either Berdych or Tsonga. Far from a lock for the final, Roger will be tested.
Meanwhile Marco Djokovic is playing live right now against Matteo Viola (ITA) in the qualifying.

I hope Fed loses early. Don't really care who takes it.
