Yeah. I bought one. Got it a couple months ago. Great phone. There is a bit of rattling in mine, but thats due to the camera apparently. Other than that, its as smooth as butter. Camera could be better but when posted on the web, it looks fantastic. Build quality is very nice also. Data works on both AT&T and T-Mobile. Both HSPA+. Some got LTE to work. I prefer "Googles" line-up for phones. They all come pre-unlocked, quadband to use other GSM service data and have overall great performance.

HTC One looks like the new king of the block in terms of Android phones

http://www.theverge.com/2013/3/11/40...htc-one-review

Though of course, the S4 has only just been released:-

http://www.techradar.com/reviews/pho...1137602/review

I have to say, that although I don't own an iPhone, I do have an iPad 4 (which I assume is similar bar the phone calls) and I think the Apple OS feels quite a bit dated in comparison to the latest versions of Android, particularly given some of the enhancements provided by Samsung and others.

The S4 & HTC One both have some cool things about them. I'm very intrigued with the things the HTC One has to offer. Seems like it will have a better build quality, I'm not a fan of Samsung's plastic phones.

Just a general rant here that does not apply to my glorious iPhone. Microsoft never seems to fix the bugs in their Windows software. They just change the appearance with each new version. All the familiar things you are used to, they move, rename, hide or discontinue.

According to Fedace? LOL. He's a well known troller who just makes things up to hook people in. He kept on making up quotes from various ATP players until he was called out on it and eventually banned. Now he's re-registered as 'Nostradamus'.

I was going to upgrade to the S4 from the S3, Samsung usually do offers where you trade in and only have to pay a small fee to get the upgrade.

The improvements don't really seem that big though, kind of like a 3.5, like Apple do with the 4, 4S way of doing things.

Hopefully the S5 blows me away

I'm not going to bash all droids or anything, but I had the last latest and greatest HTC One last year, and I'd tread real carefully.

They released my phone with some issues. No biggie, thats how it goes. Then they basically say that it will never get upgraded past ICS. Ok, that sucks. THEN they decide 6 months later - "hey let's release a new version of this phone that actually doesnt slow down randomly and suck battery down like a slurpee". total face slap to the people that purchased the first one.

My opinion - avoid HTC until they prove themselves again. If I went droid (which I never will again), I'd go with the proven winner in samsung. the build quality is still plastic. People who say the iphone feels like a toy, I dont get. The iphone is the most solid of those 3 phones to me. Simply touch all 4 sides of all 3 phones. the iphone 5 has zero plastic..the HTC has a plastic backing and you can't even pull that battery out.

But even though there are a ton of haters ..etc, I am still absolutely in love with this iphone 5. It just matters what you want. I feel like people who are more engineer and build oriented are droiders, and the more creative artistic types are Apple. Just my experience. I have delved down the same path in music, and it's PC vs Mac - a giant battle. I have gone PC to save $$$ every time, and I love it, but after I get to a mixdown and a client is asking me for stems w/in 2 hours and a I get a bluescreen of death...long story short, I have made a savings account for a macbook pro.

Anyway, point being - I'd go w/ the S4 based on my past experience with HTC.

I thought about doing this but I dont want to pay the early upgrade fee. I've had the s3 now since around September and havent had any issues. I mostly browse the web, watch youtube videos like old Sampras matches, and play games. I came from the iphone 4 so it was different. The iphone 5 is a decent phone but I don't like the small screen and personally I like the android operating system more. I don't know if I could switch back to the iPhone, the os could use an overhaul, its not really a whole different than 2007.

Both the s4 and htc one look really nice, you really cant go wrong with either one. I like how the htc one has the speakers on the front of the phone.

I agree, the S3 is plenty of phone for me aswell. It would only of been around £60 to upgrade, which i'd of been happy to pay, but the improvements in the S4 didn't really blow me away enough.

If someone is looking for a new phone, the new HTC and S4 are both great choices. As you say though, moving from the S3 up to an S4 isn't a big enough step up to justify the cost and things like transferring pictures, music etc.. over to a new device.

Transferring pictures and music? Eh? Takes about 5 mins to transfer.

You're right! It wouldn't take any time really, it's all on the SD card, which you just switch over. As a longtime iPhone user before the S3, i'm used to having to upload everything to a computer and go through all the Apple guff, wait for it to upload, set up the new phone, download everything on to it etc..

Yet another thing I prefer about the S3

Does this work even if you have Verizon as carrier and your 2 year contract is not up yet ? I have S3 and agree that differences aren't huge but that camara is so much better on S4 and resolution on the screen is much better too.
If the fee isn't crazy high, I am willing to upgrade

It could be the same, here in the UK they usually do things like that, so I would imagine you would get something similar over there. I know on the Samsung website they offer to buy your old phone from you, and give you a newer device if you pay the difference. I'm not sure how much extra it would be, but if it's a newish phone like the S3 you're trading in, I can't imagine it being too much.

Yeah, there are many options. You could physically swap the SD card or simply copy the contents via PC. Or you can using Kies which will backup/restore everything from contacts to photos, music, data files etc. Same with Kies Air.

Alot of stuff is also linked to your Google account, so as soon as you login to a new phone, it will give you the option of restoring contacts (linked to you Google account) together with purchased apps etc. Not sure about you but alot of my music/video library is now cloud based eg. Amazon Cloud Player, Microsoft SkyDrive, Dropbox etc. The flexibility and range of options is vast compared to iOS6.

My only gripe is that I'd like faster data transfer speeds from SD card > MicroUSB > USB2.0. File transfers via the lightening connector (I do like that connector) on the iPad4 seem to be faster for some reason. Maybe they've improved this on the S4.

Yeah i'm the same, there are a few things on Dropbox. Nice to know how simple it will be to transfer everything over, when I do eventually upgrade.

My sister actually got an iPhone 5 on Tuesday, it feels amazing in the hand, as you would expect from Apple. The iOS is still a problem for me though, I know people who still have a 3GS and apart from the speed/higher resolution screen, to me they could be the same phone. She seems very happy with it though, which is all that matters.

Bring on the Google/Motorola X Phone.

http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-...galaxy-1138746

Hopefully it will take some cues from the Motorola RazrMaxHD and have a kevlar body, gorilla glass, double size battery, factory splash proofing, etc.

Half the iphones i see have shattered screens.
