Default Correct way to measure racket length?

So I have several Wilson rackets from early 2000's, hyper hammers and triads, which from tip of the bumper guard to end of butt cap all measure close to 1/4 of an inch or so longer than specified length.

I have my 2011 blx six.one 95 which measures exactly 27 inches from tip to tip, and just bought a used ncode six.one 95 to try out but it is close to 1/4 an inch longer than the blx model, but weighs the same.

This maybe is a moot point since they are 7 years apart, but both say they should be 27 inches, so I am wondering if maybe Wilson changed the way they measure rackets, say with or without the bumper guard or something like that.

Any info on this would be nice, even if its to say comparing previous versions is stupid

It may be to slight deformation caused by the tension in the strings. Just wondering, why are you measuring racquet length?

I was just comparing the 2 six.ones at first. Then after they were different wanted to check all my others for comparison. My blx seems shorter than should be, since all the other ones measure a tad longer than specified...
