Come on Berdych, stop whining.
Tsonga wins after an excellent match

Congrats to Jo, great match. Berdych was playing very well (could have been a routine 2 set win for him) but after Tsonga gutted out that 2nd set he kinda deflated.

Was a great match. The backhand down the line in the tail end of the 2nd set, was what turned the match around for Tsonga. From that moment on, he played at a different level than Berd.

He did say something to the umpire when shaking hands. Had Tsonga waiting for 2 seconds or something. Weird how the crowd didn't pick that up, usually the're on a player booing him for like a minute when he's whining or complaining about a call.

great win for tsonga... saving MP vs tomic (QF) and vs berdych (F) !
who was the last player to win a tournament after saving MP in multiple matches ? i have the following ones since 2002:
anything more recent ? EDIT querrey (LA 2010) was the last one, cf. this thread: http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showt...21#post7233621 Last edited by vive le beau jeu ! : 02-24-2013 at 09:04 AM. |

Really good win for Tsonga.
Should give him some confidence winning tough matches like he has this week. |

And Tsonga goes in the double digits: 10 titles (vs 8 for Berd). Berd should be mad. He really let that one slip away from him.
