Guess I left out that important note lol. I'll definitely get some pics of his rotary conversion, it's almost like looking at a funky FC RX-7 if you took a quick glance at it.

EDIT: Should also say that before you call it a crazy thing, the guy only did the swap since he found an old FD in the junkyard and parted out the entire thing. Turns out it was a fairly good condition engine trapped inside a beat up chasis.

The economy was going to **** and I have a business that is very cyclical. The Subaru was a third car for us, so I sold it preemptively and now we just have the two cars. I sold it about 4 years ago.

And as to why I didn't start with an STi for that build, the answer is simple. I already owned the WRX and when I purchased the car originally I had no intentions to modify it. Oops.

Nice Z! What made you get rid of it and go with the SS?

Thanks, Jon.

What happened was a few days after I had taken my 370z in for service, the dealer called me and asked me if I wanted to sell the car. I guess, they were impressed with the condition of the car, It's a bona fide garage queen.

and after having driven it for 3 years, I wanted something new. So, I accepted their offer. I decided to replace it with a 2013 Subaru WRX limited. When I placed my order, the dealer told me it would take 16 weeks for the car to get here. (should get here in early May).

While waiting for the WRX to come, I received a $3000 off offer from GM in the mail . I figured that was a good deal and I still could afford to buy it, so what the heck I had always wanted a muscle car. When I got to the Chevy dealer, they gave me another $500 off.

And that's how I got rid of the Z and got the 2SS

How would you compare the two? Sacrifice a bit of handling for a bump in BHP?

Thanks mucat.

i like it a lot. For sure it is a lot more comfortable than my 370z.

I had planned on getting a muscle car. I thought it was going to be a Mustang (quickest), or Challenger (usable back seats)

Although i liked the design of the Camaro the best, It was last on my list because it didn't have a NAV system like the Mustang and Challenger did.

But for 2013 GM made it possible to order a Camaro with a NAV system, and together with the discount offer, it became the car to get for me.

I never had a V-8 car before and the V-8 sound of this car is very awesome. It got the dual mode performance exhaust where after 3,000 rpm it would produce thunderous V-8 sound. Sounds kinda like a big motorbike :-O

the ride quality of the 370z Nismo is super hard.
at first i didn't mind it but after a while, it was no longer fun. One time I drove it over a bad patch of road and i thought one of the tires had gone flat but no. that car would just amplify the bad road surfaces 3 or 4 times more.

the Camaro is a big car and it rides like one. at 65 mph, it feels slow. If you want to go for a long drive, there is no contest, the Camaro wins.

handling wise, the Z is better. it is far more nimble.

the Z felt faster but it's not a fair comparison because the last time I drove the Z it had 6k miles. My Camaro has less than 160 miles, so I can't drive it like a car that has already been broken in

Biggest surprise for me was I got better gas mileage with the 6.2 liter V-8 426 HP than the 3.7 liter V-6 350 HP in city driving.

15 MPG for the Z and 16 MPG for the Camaro.

I try not to drive on the freeway too much because I don't want to get the rock chips (I don't like the line on the clear bra)
