He has to play HC events at some point anyway. If his knee feels okay then why not at IW as he has played well there before.

Hopefully has a good run and wins some matches. After beating Ferrer with ease bound to have plenty of confidence.

IW will be more interesting, but Nadal might be falling into the trap, just because you bagelled Ferrer doesn't mean you can play at a high level on hardcourts.

If he plays it doesn't mean he has to do the whole tournament but it will be practice for him and better than taking a month off

This will be the Nadards reaction when their hero falls to the GOAT known as Novak Djokovic.

Don't fool yourself Nadards, the end in near.

What I believe is that he could only keep up the charade for so long before he couldn't take it anymore. Clearly the b.s. about the knees was just that: b.s. Now that he's back to his pre-ban form he's going to play IW because it's not about the knees folks. Get with the program.

Hilight for spoiler-

And what a great friend his is to David Ferrer who has owned this tournament for three years. I guess he isn't happy being the Spanish #2. Jerk. He had to put Daveeed in his place by bageling him

He'll lose a lot of points if he does that though.

Remember, he's defending a SF and a Final appearance from last year.

I'm not disagreeeing with this prediction, but is it really that shameful for a guy who was out 7 months to lose to the world #1? Especially when you consider that hard court would be Rafa's worst surface, and Djokovic's best surface.

I really don't think so.

No he's not. He's defending SF points in both.

No. What is really shameful is coming back after 7 months of a supposed injury layoff and getting to a final and two wins in your first three tournaments back, destroying your buddy in the process and still claiming it's all about the knees.

No.. of course not, it's not embarrassing to lose to the caliber of a god and the sooner the Nadards realize that, the better.

Rafa spanking his pets in Mexico don't change the fact he wimped out of playing Dubai.

He will be exposed at IW. That's a fact.

Nadal has not beaten Djokovic at a HC masters series in 6 years. It was the first and last time, back at IW 2007 final.
