Murray, he's won a hard courtmajor recently, can baseline bash and rally with the best, and frankly has gotten more confident in his serve and forehand abilities, all that gives him the edge

That must explain why Murray is 5-3 versus Rafa on hardcourts since entering the top 6 in 2008 (2-1 in hardcourt slams). The last set they played, Rafa won just FOUR points. It's also interesting to note that Murray has won as many slam matches against Rafa as Roger has - but whatever you say kid.

Back on topic - I'd love to see this happen. I make Murray slight favourite but Rafa will be feeling pretty good about himself and he likes IW - he'd also have won at least 3 matches on hardcourt before he could meet Murray - so write him off at your peril.

Do not worry. The organizers will screw Fed. He will face Nadal in quarters and Novak in Semis.

That's fine, so long as Federer takes out Nadal I'm good

Murray you would think. He has many more HC matches under his belt this year and is playing well.

Nadal always has a chance but would be big surprise to see him beat one of the top 3 in his first HC tournament back.

Murray. A lot has changed since the last time they played, IMO. Murray is playing the best tennis of his career and is at a different place mentally. He knows he can beat anyone, especially on hard courts.

Nadal's biggest advantage, IMO, has always been mental. I think he has lost that against Murray outside of clay. If the mental advantage isn't there, I think Murray is the better player on hard courts. Doesn't mean Nadal cannot beat him, but I don't see him as a favorite like he would have been in the past.

Impossible to say without me seeing how Nadal looks on hc at the IW (if he ends up playing.) You would think Murray based on his current hc form would dispose of Nadal but you never know for sure with Nadal. Nadal looks like he may be very hungry for titles again, we shall see. I honestly can't answer this yet.

The wait-and-see approach. That's no fun.

Definitely Muzzard. I am a Nadal fan, but Nadal has not played any serious competition on hard courts. Murray would win fosho

Yes, I know it is no fun but I really can't answer it until I see how Nadal plays at IW (if he plays.)

One thing is for sure, if Murray (or Fed or Djokovic) loses to Nadal on hc after Nadal has been away for seven months, he will look like a real moron.

That's impossible, as Novak and Roger will be placed on opposite ends of the draw. So Nadal is either in Djokovic's half or in Federer's, but not in both.

The draw comes out tonight, so we shall see who will be lucky enough to draw Nadal in their quarter.

I'm guessing they'll place Nadal with Ferrer to give them a chance at a Big 4 SF.

I see I'm not alone in thinking the draws are anything but random.

this is going to be a recurring problem until rafa gets back to no 4 rank..

every tourney its going to be..who will have the nightmare draw of nadal QF fed/murry/djoko SF,F as a potential draw.
