A couple of beginner questions:
What grip should you use when going for a flat serve and what grip when you want to do a kick serve? When hitting a 1 handed backhand what grip do you use? People tend to say "1 handed eastern backhand grip" but is that a normalt eastern forehand grip or is it something else? Thanks in advance. - Janne |

Eastern backhand is two bevels left of eastern forehand, between extreme eastern backhand and continental.

Can somebody tell me what grip to use on a slice serve because I'm not sure what to use.
I use continental on a flat serve and a kick serve. |

Continental is definitely the standard for flat serves, but some people like to move closer to an eastern backhand grip for more spin-orientated serves. The above link is a grip guide with pictures. (Man, I am getting a lot of use out of this one link. 3 threads already!) |
