Default Discho Rpm power

I know there already is a thread about mamba tennis strings and Discho strings, but has anybody tried this string before? I like rpm blast but am looking for a very cheap alternative since money is tight right now. Is the black mamba string good? is black mamba gear twisted much better for an extra $5 a reel? which of the strings should i buy? does ray from mamba tennis send out sample strings for people to try so that they can choose which string they want to buy as a reel?

Ray is really a great guy and provides excellent customer service for his company. Shoot Mamba an email with your questions. The contact info should be on their site.

tried it. it has a significant break in period and after that it plays very well especiially on touch shots and volleys. It is certainly worth a try but you have to string low ~ 48 lb

Ray told me that as a direct replacement for RPM, he prefers the Mamba Gear Twisted for better tension maintenance and playability. I gave a set to my hitting partner and he really liked it, actually preferred it to RPM which is what he was using before.

thats interesting because the price of a reel of black mamba gear twisted is $15 cheaper than the price of a reel of rpm power.
