I have some older 200Gs but they have always been strung using nylon tubing on a few of the holes. Will the frame be damaged if I dont use the tubing especially on any that have cracked grommets?
Thanks much

You may crack the frame. Your strings are even more likely to be damaged because the holes with grommets have very sharp edges. They do not have the channel that the rest of the holes have. Definitely not a good idea. Replace the grommets (buy singles, 4.7mm I think) or use tubing.
