I did bag what appears to perhaps be some sticks from one of my favorite pros of the 80's, NCAA champ and 1986 Roland Garros finalist Mikael Pernfors. Or were they from Joakim Nyström?

I went pretty fast to the shopping cart then when I found out it was gone, away pretty fast in disappointment. Oh well, I happy to have one strung with vintage natty gut that plays super in used condition.

Which stick do you think may have been for Pernfors ?

The Wimbledon "Graphite" was used by him, and concurrently, Joakim Nystrom. Pernfors used it on his epic run to the '86 FO finals. I believe Nystrom won Monte Carlo with it one year.

that was me. back in the day i remember i had this frame out for a demo and couldn't believe the serves i was hitting. but i ended up buying a couple f200 instead hopefully the frame is in good shape and as described by the listing. i'd hate for the court rash to be worse than advertised.

Well, I am now in receipt of a pair of Wimbledon Graphites. Indeed, it's the same model as used by Joakim Nystrom and Mikael Pernfors, but the pair I purchased (one that has been modified with ample lead at the sides of the head, strung with natural gut; and one seemingly unmodified one that had never been strung, but now is) appear to have been earmarked for Rodney Harmon? (There's a sticker on the unmodified, NOS one that simply is marked, "Rodney.")

Lovely frames, perfect head size (88 square inches; looks larger as it is wider - closer to round - than most elliptical 90's), great quality. The original Wimbledon calfskin grips (in massive size 5) are Wimbledon-branded, but appear to be the same as the best Pro Kennex grips used concurrently - no surprise there since these Wimbledon frames were openly made by Kunnan, and marked as such.

I'm taking them for a hit tonight; can file a report if there is any interest.

arrived today. looks great. very, very slight scrapes at 10/2 but other wise near perfect. very happy.
