Strings for Yonex V Core 100 S

I recently purchased a Yonex V Core 100. I demoed the racquet through TW and loved the feel and ease with which I was able to hit ground strokes and volleys. A TW rep said the racquet should have been strung at 55 lbs with Yonex Tour Super 850 16 string.

I got the racquet strung at my local tennis shop. They said they strung it at 53 with Gamma gut. The racquet feels more stiff and does not produce the easy power I felt with the demo.

Is the difference I am feeling likely due to the different types of strings (i.e., Yonex 850 vs. Gamma gut) or to something else?
