Default Lets toss control out the window...for now.

What is your Softest, most Powerful, Spiniest, Round/Shaped/Textured, Poly/Co-Poly.

As of right now, for me, BHB7.

What the hell? You just listed a huge number of parameters, two sets of which have mutually exclusive elements (shaped, textured, round...poly,copoly). What are you actually asking?

i'm interested in knowing what poly's have the most power, spin, and comfort since power, spin, and comfort can go hand in hand, while control goes a bit against the grain. while there are exceptions to this rule, but generally speaking, the most powerful strings aren't going to give you the best control, but could provide generous amounts of spin and at the same time have some added softness. most control oriented strings aren't going to give you a ton of power, are generally stiffer, and not as soft. that's all.

perhaps i should have phrased it this way.

"what is, in your opinion, the most powerful, spin friendly, soft, poly or co-poly string in any shape, texture, size or color?"

in other words, i'm personally looking for a poly that has a ton of power, which is also soft and provides generous amounts of spin. control in a string isn't as important, to me, since my swing and technique can provide enough control, hopefully, to handle such a setup.

how's that?

he's looking for an opinion. Genesis Razor seems to be up there. I'd throw my lot with bhbr17.

So you're looking for a compromise between power, spin and softness. Got it. As listed, Big Hitter Blue Rough 17 is your string of choice.

And I should point out that my string of choice, Weisscannon Scorpion, is touted as a control string above all else. It just happens to be comfortable and have great power.

On that note, another option is Weisscannon Turbotwist 1.18. More power than BHBR, touch less spin, softer feel.

our local shop had a "black friday" special on black strings, had 2 strung with bhb7 (i forget what multi we crossed with). so far the bhb7 seems fine. softer than the tour bite / vanquish i was using, but will probably go back to the tb/vanq again next.

why don't you just string a lower tension? You will invariably increase power and decrease control with any string that is strung low. take your poly down to 30 lbs and go from there. increase tension 2 to 5lbs tighter until you reach what you're going for.

you can take any soft poly to experiment this with.
