There are a couple purposes behind using compression shorts in tennis. First off, they help to keep the muscles in your legs warm, reducing fatigue and the risk of injury. Secondly, many of the compression shorts we offer are made of moisture-wicking material, which helps to lessen chafing and skin irritation. Furthermore, they more easily stay in place during competition than just your standard boxer shorts or briefs, which is arguably more comfortable.
Skins makes great compression wear. Other good ones include: Under Armour Mens Heatgear Compression Short 24.99 http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/desc...l?PCODE=UAMHCS Nike Men's Pro Combat Hyper Cool Compression Short 30.00 http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/desc...?PCODE=NPCHCCS Hope that helps! Andy, TW

I use UnderArmour compression shorts and I just find they are more comfortable for my legs.

All of Chris' points and if you're a guy, helps stability down there.
EDIT: I wear Nike pro combat and under armour when I lift and play sports and love them. Comfortable and no problems yet

I'm currently using the UA compressions, but find the sizing somewhat odd. I'm medium in almost everything, but the medium in UA runs 30-32 and then the large jumps to 34-36. I'm around 32/33 and finding the medium fit to be extremely tight. Obviously the term compression short says it all, but how tight should the fit be.

So these are boxershorts for tennis? I normally wear björn borg boxershorts (95% cotton) and hate it when my underpants are soaked after half a set or so (I sweat a lot). It's just not comfortable! So you just put one of these compression shorts on without regular boxers? Sorry for the silly question but this seems like it's a gift from the gods
