Uniqlo isn't a high end store. Their clothes are quite affordable. Their dress shirts (didn't have tennis - this was Oct for Shanghai, end of Nov for HK) in Shanghai and HK were less than similar shirts sold in the US.

Yep, but "high end" is not always a synonym for high quality, but rather for strong brand image carrying high price tag.
Japanese or any other apparel manufacturer can easily outperform Nike or La Coste or any other high $$$ brand if they decide to use high quality fabrics. Most companies outsource their production to Thailand, China etc. anyway. |
