this is true but somehow seems like something Andy's PR person would present. The fact is Andy has never beaten Novak 2.0. ND won 4 slams since Andy last beat him. Andy's last victory was in Cinci almost 2 years ago, right before Novak made his big turnaround at us open 2010. I watched that match and Novak pretty much mailed it in. I still say this would not be a good draw for Andy given how low his confidence is now, notwithstanding his victory at ATP 250 this week, while facing the defending wimbledon champ. be that as it may, this is all very speculative base on how poorly andy has played this year.

wow, if my so far calculations are right out of his ~1300 points, 1000 of it remains in the rest of the year, 360 of it in the US Open alone. Wow, hes only gotten 300 points this whole year?

Novak struggles heavily on the forehand return of serve even today. If you can bring the heat and you can get out out wide enough on the deuce side, Novak actually gets in big trouble. What Novak does best is punishing you for putting a weak serve in, but if you can put in a consistently big serve with some level of accuracy like Roddick can, you can give Novak all sorts of trouble since he has to go through such big grip changes to go from his forehand to backhand.

Federer has done this to Novak a number of times, particularly last year at RG and the USO. He just didn't finish the job off at the USO.

Roddick won't get past Ferrer, much less Delpo and Novak. Beating Seppi at a weak 250 event, playing average tennis, does not mean a whole lot.

Ferrer's the toughest out until the SF's, even considering Murray and Delpo. Murray's been kind of iffy lately, and Delpo's probably going to get sliced to death; the guy just doesn't move or bend well on grass. He's not going to get a chance to unload on his FH if Roddick plays him right.

No idea about Novak, though. While it's true Roddick never played Djokovic 2.0, Djokovic never saw the consistent heat that 03/04 Roddick brought. Considering the surface it'll be an interesting match-up if it gets that far.
