Default Wilson's Champion's Choice

Has anyone tried the Champions Choice made by Wilson? It's also the same set up as Federer if I'm not mistaken.
How do you guys like it? (if you tried it)

Champion's choice is just Alu power rough and Wilson brand Natural gut (which is rumored to be made in the same factory as Babolat). So if you tried any poly x gut set up before, then it's pretty much the same.

But if you haven't, I would recommend trying a less costly poly x multifilament set up before you try the poly x gut. That way you can get an idea of how it's going to feel and what tension you are going to want to string the gut and poly.

Just hit with my son's BLX90 which had that string set up. It was great. Unbelievable spin and with that racquet, excellent control, plow through, etc.
Only down side is ALU rough is fairly stiff, and can be harder on your arm than other polys.

Yeah, definitely a stiff string even with natural gut in the mains. I strung in at 49lbs for the Alu and still felt stiff compared to some of the other co-polys like PL2 Evolution which I string at 52lbs.

The good thing about Alu is it allows you to hit really hard and still maintain control. The bad part is the stiffness of the string especially after 8 hours of hitting, it feels like hitting with a board. For those that can afford to restring every few hours like the pros, I can see why they love the string.
